Last month, the North Coast sangha members gathered to share a weekend of meditation and teachings.
During the two days, we practised meditation together and studied a recent teaching on Bodhichitta given by Ringu Tulku Rinpoche in Dzogchen Beara’s new temple. It felt wonderful to be connected with this extraordinary teaching given by Ringu Tulku Rinpoche in Dzogchen Beara.
The retreat was hosted by one of the North Coast sangha members in her beautiful wooden Summer house near Bushmills, on the North Coast of Ireland. During the weekend, we also practised shamatha meditation (with and without support), walking meditation, Kum Nye Tibetan Yoga, Qi Gong, inquiry practices, chanting, as well as creative art. The weekend was facilitated by several participants.
Each day, we shared some delicious food and everybody contributed to the meals and tea breaks. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the Bodhichitta theme infused the whole weekend.
The weekend was a great opportunity to deepen our meditation practice and to study the different aspects of Bodhichitta (the compassionate wish to attain enlightenment for the benefit of all beings).
At the end of the weekend, one of the participants commented:
What an amazing weekend. It certainly was a very special time together. Thank you to everyone there and for the teachings, unique contributions, skills and food that everyone brought 🙏
