Medical Qi Gong has been practised in China by young and old alike for over one thousand years. This is a complete healthcare system, an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, alongside TCM Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine.
The postures, breathing practices and guided relaxation invigorate our innate natural healing ability bringing an enhanced experience of wellbeing and physical fitness.
For this class Tony will introduce some of the oldest and most practised qigong forms:
- Yangsheng Gong
- Zhan Zhuang
- Yi Jin Jing
Featuring soft and even movements that have proven to benefit health and fitness, support immunity, lengthen life and improve the intellect.
In particular, the practice of the Yi Jin Jing has very impressive results on the respiratory system, flexibility, balance and muscular strength.
The class focus will be on relaxing practices to suit the capacities and experience of participants and will be continuously reviewed to ensure enjoyable progress.
Complementing other systems of personal healthcare such as Tai Chi, Kum Nye, Hatha Yoga, Pilates, Meditation etc., this class is suitable for both beginners and improvers.
