H.E. Ling Rinpoche

Event offered by Dzogchen Beara

We are delighted to announce that His Eminence the 7th Kyabjé Yongzin Ling Rinpoche — a young and eminent master in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition—will teach in our new temple this Autumn.

This is a rare and precious opportunity to receive teachings from Rinpoche, who has kindly agreed to teach on the topic of Lojong.

Please note that Rinpoche will teach in Tibetan with English translation.

What is Lojong?

Lojong is a tibetan word which means ‘training the mind’, or ‘transforming the mind”. It is a core practice in all the lineages of the Tibetan tradition.

Because of their down-to-earth practicality, the mind training teachings offer effective tools for dealing with life’s greatest challenges—whether on the meditation cushion or in daily life. This wisdom is accessible to anyone seeking inner transformation—whether Buddhist or not.

Rinpoche will offer teachings on two key lojong texts:

  • Eight Verses of Training the Mind by Geshe Langri Tangpa
  • Thirty Seven Practices of the Bodhisattvas by Gyalsé Tokmé Zangpo

Location

The retreat will be held in our new Dzogchen Beara Temple. With expansive views across the bay, the temple is a modern example of a traditional Tibetan monastery, a form of architecture designed to be an inspiring symbol of the Buddha’s teachings for our times

Catering

Delicious two course vegetarian lunches, with soup and bread in the evenings. Cooked with love at Dzogchen Beara, using homegrown and organic ingredients whenever possible. Tea and coffee.
